Educational Consulting Services

Our team will review your child’s documentation and provide recommendations based on our educational experience and expertise. We focus on ensuring you understand your child’s IEP/504 and tips for how to successfully advocate with your child study team.

In addition to reviewing your child’s documentation, we can also attend your IEP/504 meeting. Our goal is to find commonalities between the school team and the parents, and build on those. Then, we can create a truly individualized plan that meets the child’s needs that the parent understands as an active team member. We also take comprehensive notes to ensure your child’s files are reflective of the discussions that took place.

As educational experts, we can observe your child in their current setting to determine where adjustments or recommendations need to be made in their supports. This service may be combined with others as appropriate.

We hope that the IEP process will resolve differences between parents and school teams. When it doesn’t, our team is available as expert witnesses to support your child’s educational needs. Depending on when we are brought into the process, we review your child’s records, conduct our own assessments, and coordinate with your special education attorney to ensure your child’s needs will be met.

We can provide parent training on specific topics to support home-school carryover. Our parent training is individualized to the needs of the child and the lifestyle of the family. We review your child’s documentation, conduct an in-home observation and develop goals collaboratively with the parents, child (as appropriate), and school team where applicable.
